About us
Ikanos Power was founded by two MBA students with prior entrepreneurial experience from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and three PhD students from the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Michigan.
In 2008, Ikanos entered its first business plan competition with the hopes of gaining valuable feedback to refine its business strategy. What followed was an impressive winning streak, with Ikanos taking top finishes in six competitions nationwide and receiving several invitations for future competitions.
Ikanos’ near term strategy is to continue refining its business plan through various competitions, use the proceeds to incorporate in the summer of 2009, and then obtain funding through government grants later in the year to setup its initial facility in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
